I’ve been called out on a failure of a French drain system and you can see here that they didn’t use a lot of stone. You can see they covered the trench with a lot of dirt. They did not wrap the stone with the filter fabric. They have a pipe that is pinholed, so it’s not going to move a lot of water.  Where we use the four eight slot depending on the application.

So this drain quit. It caused all kinds of problems. I didn’t put this drain in. I quoted to put in a new drain and do it right so that this lasts for however long the homeowner wants to stay here and remain here.
