I have watched dozens of videos of this product and been impressed with what I saw. The wife had a new house built and the downspouts just ran a few feet from the house. The let water just flood down the sides the walkout basement. I installed some drain pipe, and knew I needed to get a couple of the leaf filter kits.
Installation is super easy!

The downspout cleanouts are great and were carefully packaged and arrived on time.
I bought three standard (for 2x3 gutters) Downspout Cleanout and Leaf Filter units, plus three 4" catch basins plus fittings to adapt to thin wall SDR pipe, and everything worked out great and was of very high quality and well designed. The photos are two of the clean out/filter units.
I had the catch basin positioned just before a Flo Well dry well, with a pop up emitter on top of the catch basin so it would overflow if the dry well got completely full.
One tip that I found, was to use the SDR pipe with the large built in coupling bell end at the top so the height of the NDS pop up emitter could be easily adjusted.

The French Drain Man team was very helpful with their assistance and product selection for components to upgrade my driveway installation with the integration of the Leaf Filter products and other fittings. I have bought downspout cleanout leaf filters whose design is brilliant, pupup emitters, among other products and have upgraded my gutter system. I am a homeowner and a DIY'er. These guys know their business and have designed great products. They have answered questions via email and helped when I had a question about what to buy. They are efficient and there is no comparison between what they are manufacturing vs what you get at big box stores. Going to big box store for your gutter products is a waste of time and money. I won't do it again. It's great to support a US company, based in MI who take such pride in what they do. Thank you!.
After we bought our 100-year-old house, I did a lot of research before attempting to fix our horrible basement flooding. After every medium to heavy rainfall, our entire basement would be covered with 3 to 6 inches of water. I spent days pumping water after every rain shower. French Drain Man was easily the best resource I could find, from their excellent help videos to their superb products. We called several businesses to help us and they all wanted $3,500 or more for minor fixes. Most said we had to pay well over $10,000 to add additional sump pumps and French drains along the all basement walls. After less than $1,000 and three days of work (following the advice of French Drain Man and using my favorite FDM products), I stopped our basement flooding. It's now bone dry and has been that way for almost one year. I especially love their popup emitters and downspout leaf filters. Definitely worth the extra cost, and shipping was fast. I could not be happier with FDM!
I’m so glad I found FDM’s website! The downspout clean outs I purchased are working flawlessly — far superior in quality to what you get from the big box stores, and proudly made in the USA. Their YouTube channel has been a fantastic resource too, with clear and helpful how-to videos that made installation a breeze. Highly recommend!
As a homeowner in FL it’s difficult to find a good contractor little alone one that will share their expertise without gain. French Drain Man was responsive and detailed replying to my questions via email. The parts they manufacture are well designed with longevity and ease of maintenance in mind. So much so that I had already bought downspout leaf filter clean outs on Amazon but opted to purchase FDR to replace the Amazon ones. Everything installed as planned and was easy (wish I could say the same for hand digging the trench for the pipe). I am placing another order with them to do the downspout drain piping for the other side of my house soon.
The drain pipe connectors and leaf clean out filters worked great. Already back to buy more!
