This freeze protection kit is designed to protect your home in case your sump pump discharge line freezes during cold weather. When water freezes inside the discharge line, it can block the flow of water, potentially causing the pipe to burst or backing up water into your basement.

The kit helps prevent damage and flooding by including a small bypass line that allows excess water to safely exit the system outside your home, rather than backing up indoors. This way, if the main line becomes blocked by ice, water is diverted away from your basement, keeping it dry and protected.

Includes a 2-foot section of 3″ Schedule 40 PVC to use as a riser. Because every home has a different sump pump discharge height, the riser should be cut to fit on-site.
