As a homeowner in FL it’s difficult to find a good contractor little alone one that will share their expertise without gain. French Drain Man was responsive and detailed replying to my questions via email. The parts they manufacture are well designed with longevity and ease of maintenance in mind. So much so that I had already bought downspout leaf filter clean outs on Amazon but opted to purchase FDR to replace the Amazon ones. Everything installed as planned and was easy (wish I could say the same for hand digging the trench for the pipe). I am placing another order with them to do the downspout drain piping for the other side of my house soon.
The drain pipe connectors and leaf clean out filters worked great. Already back to buy more!
Update 08/2025: Just got my roof shingles replaced and I am glad I have these French Drain Downsprout cleanout installed. After a rain pour, I decided to go clean up and I found over 30 roof nails all caught in the plastic line guard/filter. Glad they are there as these nails would have just sat in my drain pipes or worse yet, drain out on the small creek where some of kids play. Super thankful for these.

I finally got the chance to install a couple of the French Drain Man's Downspout Clean-outs with Leaf Filters that I bought from them last year. They are very functional and look great IMO, so I'm buying more along with several more of their drainage products. Very happy that these products have been conceived, designed and made in USA. We recently have had The French Drain man complete 3 underground gutter drains, with downspout cleanout, catch basin, and pop up drain. They were installed under cement walkways already in place. From the moment they arrived you could see they were very organized and meticulous about their business. They have what they do down to a science. There was no guessing as they had a plan in place for our yard before they arrived. They used top notch products, and completely put everything back and cleaned up as if they were never there. I purchased (5) of the French Drain Man Downspout Cleanouts with Leaf Filter and am very happy with the product! They are well designed, well manufactured, and look nice on our house. After three months of use I am very happy with the performance. They do a great job of filtering leaves without affecting water flow, and have no external splashing. I will be ordering additional filters for all of the downspouts on our house.
