Introducing FDM’s 12×12 catch basin with a 12×12 turf restrictor plate and 6 in. removable grate. Boasting a one-gallon capacity for sediment and debris, it is easy to install, quick to connect, and requires no screws to secure the grate. It’s simply a press fit, so no screws get lost in the grass.

It’s only 5 inches wide, so it fits in a trench made with a shovel or a trencher. Its easy-to-clean design makes it simple to insert a shop vac wand or use your hand to remove debris and sediment. The rounded interior corners allow for convenient, hassle-free cleaning. This is unlike traditional 12×12 catch basins, where debris gets stuck in the 90° corners.

The 6-inch opening makes it easy to access, and the turf restrictor top prevents grass from growing over it and making it difficult to remove the lid. The 6-inch full-throttle inlet grate will overwhelm any 4-inch pipe on the market. The slightly domed grate allows for grass clippings and yard debris to collect around the edges, while water can still find its way into the 6″ full-throttle grate inlet.

This triple patent-pending catch basin has changed yard drainage and how we view it. We no longer have to accept the shortcomings of traditional 12×12 catch basins that require a huge hole to be dug, a top cover that’s difficult to remove, and a sump that’s frustrating to clean. The pipe connections require no drilling or cutting, making this truly the best DIY-friendly catch basin on the market.
